How can we use prosthetics to treat cystic fibrosis?

Using the same idea of a prosthetic device for limbs, a new study has found that a drug used to treat fungal infections can act as molecular prosthetic for patients with cystic fibrosis – taking on the role of the protein channel missing in their lungs.
