Antibiotic researchers are an endangered species
Take part in our survey to shed light on the current state of antibiotic research globally
We are dangerously close to losing antibiotic R&D within academia. Over the past 20 years we have been losing antibiotic researchers and others are not entering the field due to a number of factors. Antibiotic researchers are an endangered species.
We would like to quantify the current state of the industry to examine a potential looming ‘expertise gap’ where talented, knowledgeable antibiotic R&D staff are retrenched or re-purposed to different therapeutic areas as a result of the continued pharma exit from antibiotic R&D. We are also aware that there are new, exciting start-ups entering the field and it would be great to identify these.
Your participation will be of great help. This survey should take less than three minutes of your time and can be found here.
All responses are anonymised and we will report the collated analysis in a publication on the current state of antibiotic research globally.
