In this video interview we speak to Professor Colin Garner about the dire need for new antibacterial drugs, his motivations for co-launching the charity Antibiotic Research UK (ANTRUK), and key challenges that must be overcome in order to combat antibiotic resistance.
One of the major obstacles in the discovery and development of new antibacterials is insufficient funds. With this in mind, ANTRUK aims to raise enough money over the next five years to bring at least one new antibiotic therapy to market.
