In this video interview Chris discusses his current research towards new antibacterial drugs at the University of Warwick (UK), and the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in bringing about innovative solutions to the issue of antibiotic resistance. In addition, to describing his work in the lab, Chris comments on the need for increased awareness to the growing antibiotics problem, and gives his perspective on how to 'plug' the antibiotic gap, while new drugs are potentially brought to the market.
Aside from his research commitments, Chris is also a part of Antibiotic Research (UK), a not-for-profit charity whose vision is to enable and support the discovery and development of antibiotics against antibiotic resistant bacteria.
